Born in Chicago, Terrie attended Chicago Music College of Roosevelt University on a scholarship. Terrie and her identical twin sister Jennie were early Doublemint Twins before performing with the United Serviceman’s Organization (USO) in Vietnam, the Outrigger Hotel in Hawaii, various venues around the world, and The Comedy Store in Hollywood and Westwood, California. In 2014, Terrie received the prestigious President's Award from the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Terrie spent many years in Hollywood where she was a producer, screenwriter, and composer. She served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Producers Guild of America (helping to create their Awards show and POV Magazine), served on the Board of Governors of the Hollywood Script Writing Institute, and is presently a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Recording Academy (Grammy’s), and ASCAP. Terrie and Jennie helped David Letterman get his first big break in Hollywood, writing for The Tonight Show – starring Johnny Carson (the story is chronicled in the book "Tales From the Casting Couch" and Terrie's Veteran's History Project Interview.) The twins also wrote, directed, and produced Dr. Phil’s first TV pilot, "Solutions - The Dr. Philip McGraw Show." Terrie co-wrote "Lunch Wagon," a feature film that was the largest grossing independent movie of that year. Jennie and Terrie also co-wrote the feature film "High Heels," starring Morton Downey. Jennie was an Emmy judge, having written theme songs for ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox. She was, at one time, signed with manager Freddie DeMann, who handled Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Ritchie. Terrie and Jennie’s New York Times and Los Angeles Times Best Seller, “You’ll Never Make Love in This Town Again,” sold over 450,000 copies. The twins also co-wrote: “Tales From the Casting Couch,” “Unfinished Lives,” “Nicole Brown Simpson: Private Diary of a Life Interrupted” (ghost writer), and “I Know You Really Want To Tell Me But I Really Don’t Want to Know,” a parody about the O.J. Simpson Best Seller (all Dove Books). Terrie and Jennie belonged to the Circumnavigator's Club and have been included in Marquis Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who of the West, Who’s Who in America, and Marquis Who’s Who in the World. Terrie is the recipient of The 2018 Marquis Who's Who Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
Terrie presently lives in Sedona, Arizona where she is a Lifetime Member of the Sedona Marine Corps League Det #1237, is on the Verde Valley Military Service Park Committee, and is active in Veterans’ causes. She is presently serving as an Honorary Commander of the 944th Medical Squadron at Luke Air Force Base and also served as the Honorary Commander of the 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron.
